In the marketing world, one of the smartest ways to figure out if a product will be hit or miss is to create a concept, let it loose and from the initial feedback determine wether to go ahead or scrap the project.

“Pocket Yoga” seems to be such an example. It’s a Lenovo netbook concept that really looks gorgeous. This is the kind of device that will make netbooks, computers that ought to be taken seriously. Not many people seem to have a lot of details on the Lenovo Pocket Yoga netbook but the pics are amazing.

The Lenovo netbook family has a new sibling: the IdeaPad S9. It was announced as far as August and is quite identical to its’ older S10 except for the screen size. I have written before that the future of ultraportable notebooks was 10″ but for those who think that a 8.9″ screen is really going to make a difference in portability and weight, the Lenovo IdeaPad S9 is for them. The Lenovo IdeaPad S10 aka “The Best Netbook We’ve Seen All Year” according to Wired, is now available at $50 less. Maybe it’s the deepening recession, the holiday spirit or the fact that recentlyHP discounted its HP Mini 1000 by $40 (See: Deal Alert: $40 Off the HP Mini 1000 Netbook).

Nevertheless, you now have an extra $50 to play around with if you’d considered buying the HP Mini 1000 or offering it as a holiday present.

In comparison, US versions make do with a three-cell battery.
