Are Netbooks Killing Desktops?

For the first time ever, netbook sales have overtaken desktops’ globally. That’s big news and it confirms the prediction that I once made that eventually desktops would only be found in enterprises and governments.

I also suspect that netbooks are playing a big role in the demise of desktops. Why? Because Acer managed to have a record quarter and we also know that the Acer Aspire One became the best-selling netbook so it’s a simple matter of putting the two together.

Are netbooks killing desktops?

It seems like it.

I believe the MS Vista OS is also having a role in killing both desktops and notebooks
